Historic Flags

The Rhode Island Flag

???This flag is believed to be the first flag to use stars and to represent the thirteen colonies. The Rhode Island regiment carried this flag in the battles of "Brandywine," "Trenton," and "Yorktown." The original flag may still be seen today in the state capitol in Providence, Rhode Island.
